FOR SALE
A rare model! Hand crafted, well detailed, Comes with paying passengers! Runs of real overhead! comes with empty coffin car, great for joy riding, real head turner.

It is a 7 1/4 body running on 5 inch gauge bogie's, The actual scale I am not sure of.

Here we have a LP toastrack style tram from the Newcastle system, The real tram still exists. comes with stand, ken and Barbie, theres a action man in  there somewhere, batteries not included!

I paid $4000 for it so an offer around that would be nice, But more than willing to haggle! Be quick! It is advertised elsewhere!

G'day All,

I have for sale a partially built 1 1/2" scale American Pacific steam loco.
I didn't build it myself and I don't know much about the origins of it. For some reason the person who was originally building it was building it 1" wider than the standard gauge so it is actually built to 8 1/4" gauge. I have no idea why but I’m sure there was a reason? It wouldn't take much to narrow the gauge back to 7 1/4" however and would make a great start to a good sized loco.
So far the frames are complete and assembled, the wheels, axles, leading bogie and trailing pony truck are assembled, the cylinders are machined and assembled to the frames, the smoke box and smoke box door are partially done and there are some other partially machined parts such as the axle boxes and side rods. I have the complete set of drawings which are 7 1/4" not 8 1/4" and also have the casting patterns for the cylinders and wheels. The drawings include the tender drawings as well.
The loco is around 420mm wide and the frames are about 1750mm in length.

See: SMEX ad

I'm open to reasonable offers so if you are interested or want to know any more about it then either PM me or send me an email via the Boulder Creek Tramway website contact page at:

That 5" Blowfly is oh so tempting.
I was looking at maybe a pair of Maxitrak Planets, but this is not much more dosh and live steam is nicer than electric.

How many adults can it pull roughly?

I might just have to see if I can make it down Wagga Wagga on Saturday for a look.

G'day Guys,

As most of you would know, I have been slowly working away on three 1/3rd scale 7 1/4" gauge "Bundaberg Jenbach" sugar cane locos, one of which I built for myself and teh remaining two I had planned to sell on completion to help fund the construction of the Boulder Creek Tramway. All three locos are now complete and the second one along with a matching bum truck has already been sold.
The third loco to be finished (the middle one with the red and white striped buffer beams) is now for sale so if anyone is interested, feel free to contact me about further details or visit for a test drive!  See: Jenbach Loco

Excellent steamers, very prototypical when pulling large loads.
Will run through 5ft dia curves & through 4ft dia points with no reverse curves directly afterwards (Reverse curves may be placed after a 300mm straight otherwise locomotive binds and on occasion will derail)
