Speaking of Aussie Scenics, anyone know whats up with this business???
There was a recent good plug for this static grass applicator on a US based forum (by a modeller I respect) and I had previously heard of the product, so went ahead and purchased. Mine turned up ok, luckily enough for me perhaps. However, perhaps as a result of the forum report on the product, there have been a number of other buyers, but they are yet to receive their product, or any further email/Facebook responses to the update on their missing order. Kind of frustrating when you go and give a local product a good wrap, only to have the product supply go sour. The Aussie Scenics ebay store is now empty of items, but the same product being sold through a different store (?same store but change of name, due to some bad feedback, who knows???). Multiple postings on the Facebook page (which seemed to be the main web front at the time), have all gone unanswered. Also a bit disappointing because the product and static fibre range was quite good.
I have used the products from Aussie Scenics for some time now, & certainly have had absolutely no issues in contact from & to the business, on the score of how I have found him I have given a plug for the business to quite a few modellers, resulting in them buying the grass applicator & other items from them. As it is, I have not purchased anything from the store for some few months now so if there is anyone having problems it is news to me.
How long has the problem existed for buyers from Aussie Scenics & how many are affected by I say above very much news to me of any problems although looking at the link, which is what I had bookmarked for future use & reference, the site has certainly changed & the owner has expanded the business away from just the scenery area. I doubt then that he would be still trading through Ebay if there were problems especially if Ebay were informed of unfilled orders.
Edit in. I just checked the Ebay site for Aussie Scenics & the products are sold through another frontage, namely Somerset Models, I also checked the feedback score through my account & ebay site, & it still shows a 100% feedback rating, it also shows he has been a member of Ebay since July 2004 & the rating covers that whole period & as its near 9 years in business I think its fair to say that he has a respected record. Maybe he is going through transition to the new store front or some other aspect that is causing some delays, I think the business does deserve a benefit of the doubt for the time being.
