To sum up:

I am seeking a closed station. Trains still pass it every day.

To be clear: Passenger trains pass by this location still to this day.

The platform and buildings are long gone, but if you have a good look around, evidence of this stations past existence can be found.

It is not:
Gordon
Montgomery
Glenrowan
Chewton
Bronzewing
Taradale
Burrumbeet
Irrewarra
Redesdale Junction
Ravenswood
Wal Wal
Elphinstone
Arcadia
Monea

New clue:
This station opened as a terminus. However this would be the case for less than a year after the line through this location was extended.

No not Mitiamo.

Time for another clue:

The line this station was originally built for closed many years ago. About a year after this station was first opened, it became the location of a junction with another line, this second line is the one that has remained open to this day.

It is not any of:
Gordon
Montgomery
Glenrowan
Chewton
Bronzewing
Taradale
Burrumbeet
Irrewarra
Redesdale Junction
Ravenswood
Wal Wal
Elphinstone
Arcadia
Monea
Dysart
Darnum
Longwood
Mitiamo

Cressy?

Location: Melton, where the sparks dare not roam!
Faredodger has got it with Cressy.

The first railway to reach Cressy was an extension of the line from Colac to Beeac. This opened in December 1910, and by September 1911, the line had been extended north to Newtown, where it joined the line to Ballarat. In September 1910 work began at Cressy on the Western Plains Railway. This line joined the line to Ararat at Maroona, and the lines to Geelong at Gheringhap.

From a relatively recent visit to Cressy, the mound of the platform is identifiable still, but also the remains of the former locomotive turntable are still evident on site.

Faredodger, the road is yours.

Thanks, Gman_86.  An intriguing teaser.

New quiz:

I am a station on a closed line.

I was downgraded to a Railmotor Stopping Place after only a short time as a station, and closed altogether after an even shorter time - and that was before the passenger service ceased.  Shows how much use I was.

Wild stab at Springfield.

Good stab, but a little bit too wild, railblogger.  It isn't Springfield.

That's not wild, I can give you wild...

Is it Tueloga?

Now that's wild!  Not correct, but wild.  I'm afraid your guess has fallen on Stony ground.

(Thinks: "Faredodger is a devious fellow; is he giving a hint?")

To wit, Stony Creek?

Location: Hiding anywhere the ticket inspectors can't see me
To wit indeed, and certainly verywitty; but you overestimate me, Valvegear.  I may be devious, but not to that extent.  The quip about Stony ground was nothing more than an allusion to Tueloga's being on the Stony Crossing line.

Having said that, I shall say that while Stony Creek is not correct, it is rather closer geographically to the location in question than either Springfield or Tueloga.

(Thinks:  When Gman_86 ventured Tueloga, ought I to have said, "Et Tu-eloga?"

A punt at Karook, and I promise not to go karook if it's wrong.

Darlimurla?
  Faredodger Assistant Commissioner

Location: Hiding anywhere the ticket inspectors can't see me
I'm glad you made that promise, Valvegear, because Karook is not Karrekt.

Nor, hbedriver, is Darlimurla, but it is the geographically closer of the two.  Neither, as far as I am aware, suffered the indignity of being reduced to a Railmotor Stopping Place.  They just got euthanased.

Karook and Darlimurla closed, in adjoining years ('65 and '66); the location I am seeking closed several decades earlier.
