None of Avenel, Violet Town, Euroa or Benalla.

It started its life as a goods-loading siding.

Sounds like it may just be Locksley then?

Indeed it is Locksley.

The location started off as Burnt Creek Wood Siding, then became just Burnt Creek and finally Locksley, and the goods loading, of course, was timber.

Gman_86 has line clear.

I am looking for a closed station on a line that is still open. This line doesn't see regular passenger traffic but the station itself is mostly intact.

I am not any of:
Heywood
Ouyen
Avoca
Clunes

New Clue:

The vicinity of this station includes some Semaphore signals that are still in use (as of 2019 at least).

Thanks, Gman_86.  It was a dart at the wall, but apparently had merit.

All right, we've had plenty of stations; let's have a bridge.

I am a long gone bridge, but the line on which I stood is still open and active.  I last bore the weight of a train in the 1970s.
