So you're referring to a line or, possibly, part of a line, rather than a precise location, kitchgp.

I'll go for Bairnsdale-Orbost.

Casterton? The name with the railway association would be from S302, named Edward Henty.

I could speculate on the Cudgewa line.  One station was Darbyshire, named after George Darbyshire, engineer-in-chief.

A bit of an outsider, but I'm getting desperate, so I'll say Tatong (closed for rather more than 30 years).  Closed beyond an oil siding at Benalla.  Lima rail?
  duttonbay Minister for Railways

Noojee? Intermediate station Crossover.

Tatong it is.

1. Tatong – July, 1947
2. Lima – Lima Locomotive Works. (Perhaps Lima model railways & future clue, Lima, capital of Peru)
3. Vacuum Oil Co's Siding. Closed April, 1988. Crossed the SG when the SG commenced in 1962

Over to Faredodger.

I am so sorry.  Pressure of work has prevented me from giving due attention to the task of devising a teaser worthy of the knowledge and intellect of the subscribers to this forum.  So I'm declaring an open forum.

Got one:

I am a closed station on an open line.

My section of line wasn't necessarily open, at least to passenger services, for its entire existence.
