Southern flyover is proceeding rapidly. There's a big tracked crane in place on the western side of the track lifting girders in to place. As of last night, almost all of the up ramp had been completed and pretty sure all the down ramp is now done.
Edit: Went past on the top deck of the train so got a better view - still about half the girders to be put in place on the down ramp.
The new concourse seems to be progressing well. Steps are down to platform level and some of the walls are being put in place too.
Over on the M5, the retaining walls are all but complete now. Still looks awfully like a bridge, not tunnel they're building there.

When heading south from Glenfield and on the Western side top deck. You can see where the tunnel is going to push through. But from the M5, yes it does look a lot like a bridge
I noticed this very wet Wednesday afternoon that the Glenfield flyover isn't waterproof just yet.Sorry about the DVA.

this is the station and not the flyover.
The Northern end of Platform 1/2 has been extended
Can anyone tell me why they extended the station by 10 feet?
8 cars fit in there now.
Just seems odd to me.
Is that a fact that construction is underway at those 2 locations? The video was only full of animations, nothing concrete. Poor old Glads, she would believe anything.

Yes, definite construction in progress. Easily visible from Camden Valley way where. See my comment earlier in the thread about seeing all the trees knocked down there. I've been past a few more times since then and visible progress is being made with earthworks etc.
All the nicely packed crushed sandstone base for the tracks around the southern flyover has been redistibuted by last nights heavy rain. Looks like they'll have to start again. Lots of reo appearing on the top of the new platform 4 so I expect that will be poured soon. Rest of the station concourse is rocking along too. Not quite enclosed but starting to look lke a real building now. There's also a very large crane sitting on the eastern side of the station. Not sure what it is there for as it seems overkill for putting in prefab stair sections.
