K190 returns to Maldon

K190 returned to the Victorian Goldfields Railway on Tuesday 23rd of October for another stent at the railway over the summer.
There was a bit of a historical significance to it also. Those being, this is the first time a K(700) car has traveled from Melbourne to Maldon as well the first time in over 30 years that a crew had signed on in Melbourne to man a train to Maldon.

Here are some of my shots with the link to the rest.

Who were the crew, Dan?
BTW "stint", not "stent"!

Great photos as usual. Do you know if there was any particular reason for the 700 car going up there?

The crew weren't actually rostered to take the train to Maldon, they were only rostered as far as Castlemaine. It was the crews choice to continue onto Maldon.

Ah right, I was going by what I had been told. Either way then that's good! Maybe it might open up options for running an actual tour to Maldon.

Steamrail has sent up 2 passenger cars that we need due to a shunting accident a few weeks ago has removed 2 PL's and a AW and are unservicable for the foreseeable future.  We  thank Steamrail for their letting us loan these carraiges.

I think you're going over board with all the VGR related posts Addison, especially when most of your additions are already covered or dragging up old threads.

Yes. Reported in the latest VGR members newsletter an alleged shunting incident has damaged the two PL cars and a W car to make them unfit for traffic.
