Just on a month to go but I found no thread on here.

First year at Doomben.  Have the exhibitors of layouts and the people intending to set up commercial stands done a reconnaissance?  Someone told me that access is not all that convenient to the upper level.  Any information?

What layouts have booked to be there and what commercial stands?  There is a web page here, but not very informative at this stage.

I am looking forward to the show and hope to see a few Railpagers there.

Best regards,
John

Wuiske Models will (of course) be there, we're part of the furniture Laughing

To the best of our knowledge we will be located on level 1.

Thanks Jade,

I was starting to think no one cares about Brisbane.  If you have some of your trees there I might buy a few.

Best regards,
John

G'day John,
At this stage the odds of us having our trees in stock for the show is pretty slim. I will do what I can to get some more in though.

John, I will ask one favour from you, if you could introduce yourself to me at the show it would be much appreciated. I know we have met at least a dozen times but with the never ending sea of faces at these shows we lose track. Everyone seems to know that ugly long haired bloke called Wuiske though so that is a plus, I think.

We will of course have the Floquil paint stand and weathering powders at the show along with our usual assortment of Aussie building kits. Obviously we will also have our complete range of QLD kits and our full range of QR RTR models. There MAY even be a surprise or two at this years show also.

With any luck we will be releasing a laser cut styrene kit for the somewhat well known "want longer lasting sex" billboards that are spread all over the country. Thanks to the AMI for their permission and sense of humour of course.

Rob, Jade and I are really looking forward to this years BMTS, especially due to the new venue. Hopefully we will see a lot of you there.

Cheers,
Adam

John,

We had an open day at the venue and everyone was shown all the accesses, the lift with measurements and the escalators. A lot of questions were asked and answers given.  This was before the Applications closed.

It is a more comfortable  venue , access is excellent with escalator access to the second floor and free parking for exhibitors and public.

Attendees will I am sure be pleased with the catering and range of food offered.

I do not have a list of layouts or commercial stands to hand but I am sure you will be satisfied that you made the trip.

Despite all the prophecies of the prophets of doom it promises to be a good show.

I had a look on Translink, there's a few services on Saturday, but Sunday your out of luck unless there's a coordinated heritage working - but I haven't seen anything.

And even the Saturday services are concentrated in the afternoon to cater for the normal Saturady racing crowd (although of course no races at Doomben on that weekend).

Thanks guys, will find someway of getting there. Missed last years show not missing this one.

It does seem a pity that some form of heritage rail isn't operating from Roma St to Doomben for this, even if only for the 10 to 3 period each day. It would seem to me to be a great opportunity for QR Heritage and ARHS (QLD). nevertheless, it should be a good show in much better facilities.

Down to one week to go.  I am looking forward to the Brisbane model railway show, and I would guess I am not Robinson Crusoe on that matter.

http://brisbanemodeltrainshow.com.au/wordpress/  Not a lot of detail on the site.  Of course the important things like where and when and how much to get in are there.

We know Adam & Jade will be there, but that is about the extent of what we know.  Any more suppliers to our addiction want to put their hands up to say, "we'll be there"?  Any clubs who are putting up a layout want to give themselves a promotion?  Are there any individuals displaying a layout?

I suppose all will be revealed next Saturday, but nice to have some information in advance.

Oh yes.  We know Adam is releasing a new model from a thread on this 'Page.

Thanks for the clue Appleby.  I tend to look at web pages rather than Facebook when possible.  However, I followed your link to their Facebook page but did not locate the "full list" you tell me is there.  Suppose it is only another five sleeps until I find out so patience is the thing to develop.
