Maybe better to put Correspondance on the left - Since people like me get used to going to the first dropdown and first menu item.

Just nitpicking.

Oh, by the way, can't PM anyone from the User Info pop-up.

That's intentional, and it's staying as-is Smile

Totally agree. It has become intuitive for me to go to the first drop-down menu for accessing the fourms.

...and in the process you're missing out on everything else that Railpage has to offer. Railpage is more than just discussion forums Smile

It's staying.

When trying to like a news item the field on the story is not populated as it is on other sites. can this be fixed?

I can't understand why we've had the testing site happening for a while, we've covered some of this stuff in the 'dev' forum... Yet things still come up here in the public bugs thread.

There's been ample chance to raise things before Michael pushed these changes... Seems like people don't like change.

I agree with Michael's point and have been pushing it a crap load lately, this site is much more than just forums. People need to realise this, period.

Regards,
Lionel.

it would be good to have the version of the site visible so we can know what version of site we are looking at?

also can we please have a way of commenting on the railcam images?  I really like the images on Railpage from the cams but it would be good to be able to start a discussion on the image say to the forums.

Just a perspective, and not to belittle the great work that has been done to provide these other functions but...

The majority of people are here and using the forums. I personally have no interest in the other parts of Railpage. So why channel and deliberately confuse those who use your site? Certainly seems like a good way of getting your "fan"base off side by failing to cater to what they want to get from your site. The end result could be that they migrate to other places as an extreme.

A simply button that just says "forums" would be great. However, it's your site do what you like. I just hope that you don't see this as an attack, but rather an expression of an alternative point of view.

it would be nice to have a forums tab on the menu above. I like the new features but the forums are king.  can we do that please?

I also liked the separate news menu item.  I like reading the news on this site.

I can go to the railcams and look at the latest image from bunbury. it asks me to enter some details if I wish to update them. I tried but it would not save after pressing the save button.

You're welcome to express your views, but really...? We've moved it 93px to the right of where it previously was. Less than an inch on my 21" monitor. The address to get there is still the same (Railpage.com.au/f.htm). It's still the same name, just grouped with News and PMs under Correspondence.

I think the button that says "Notify me of new posts" is supposed to serve that purpose??
