@Donald are you saying the conversion ignored customer requirements?

During the lead up process, PeaCo stated they required the then current number of tracks in the Donald yard in order to complete shunting and storage requirements between trains.
There is now two less tracks through the Donald yard (the other being the silo road.)

They are still paying to transport the unloaded containers from and loaded containers to Dooen over ever decreasing quality roads instead of them being collected by the passing (currently weekly) train.
The owner is dedicated to using rail transport for his business, ... at this stage.

Donald

When will this situation be resolved and are there any plans to provide the customer with what they require at Donald?  Sounds like they have been shafted.

The missing link of 20 metres of track between the main line and the Donald grain sub terminal was completed last week.
PeaCo still have not got their rail tractor back, so are relying on trucks bringing the containers from Dooen.

Rail tractor?

Can we assume the hard stand has been completed and most of the yard is now on SG?

Photo at my Flikr account of the hardstanding and the relaid track under the overhead crane.

Could have been waiting to complete this before the rail tractor returned?

Thanks for the update, Donald, that looks reasoably swish, doesn't it.

As for the photo, could you just talk us through what's in view there, 2 roads close by, to the right and another further right and it appears to be a road or 2 over to the left, in front of the truck, with a container ready to go.

PeaCo ? will be pleased to have this up and running again and it would seem, there's still a bit of finishing off to do, along the line.

BS,
The Donald yard consists of the main line, 2 full length loops, plus the small loop that you see that goes under the crane.

The points at each end of the loops were all new and this track has been relaid.   The rest only had the rail moved over and a few sleepers changed.   The grain sub terminal tracks (at the Melbourne end of the passing loop) were both relaid.
