Not that I know of, thought it might be worth looking on RailServe, train-sim.com, UKTrainSim or in the downloads section of this site.

No, there's no route to Traralgon "I must say though that's a very weird name" lol I have lived in Australia my entire life and still learning new and strange names of towns hahaha

In my opinion we really seriously don't need any more Victorian routes "No offence" Lets work on "Queensland" this poor part of the country hasn't even been done for MSTS however, there was afew routes done but never released:?: I am working on 2 Queensland routes but only 1 of them will be finished if I can get information on what I need instead of poor excuses from the ARHS and the Railway Workshop Museum when they have the information I need to complete both routes so Queensland Rail has stated to me

Who is wtih me?? "Queensland" routes or "Q U E E N S L A N D" Razz

Errrrrrrr, Speaking as a Victorian................ Wink

Actually there appear to be no routes for Tasmania or West Aus (apart from 1 mining line mostly finished, Note 1), so there is plenty to do around Aus.

But Russel Beer has definitely given his permission for others to extend and enhance his Victorian routes and if OR ____EVER___ gets around to a decent route editor I may give this ago. extending the Seymour line to Albury and even Cudgewa (Note 2) would be extremely interesting as would extending the Ballaratt line to Ararat and Spencer st. Not to mention Bendigo to Echuca and Deniliquin and if one is a glutton for punishment Moulamien.

Note 1: The docs with this route prohibit anyone else working on it so this must be considered abandoned with little hope.

Note 2: I have completed a marker file for the entire Cudgewa line, post Hume weir diversion, showing the start and finish of all curves, all major bridges, all stations and sidings, and the lat  and long of every mile post.

Post Script for Note in the above post, Just to be complete I have also done the same style of marker file for the entire line from Spencer st to Wagga.

The entire Mansfield line and the Heathcote line, this will eventually be done all the way to Bendigo.

If you are referring to the BHPB_MAC route, I would be interested to know where in the documentation it prohibits anyone else working on it?

Cheers,

Marek.

PLEASE read this carefully, I have no intention of starting WW3, with another IP rights discusion.

Now I am going from memory here as I rarely run windows (I use Linux) and I do not have an unpacked AU_WA_BHP_Pilbara, but this route uses something like the standard Australian MSTS Copyright agreement that prohibits all changes including reverse engineering WITHOUT THE AUTHORS PERMISION. The problem here is if for any reason you disappear or lose interest the route effectively then dissapears, this is what I meant. I find this sort of thing a great tragedy as all work done by most MSTS developers will sooner or latter (in most cases sooner) become unavailble.

Look at all the great work Allan Lownesbourgh has done now destined to completely vanish for ever.

Russel Beer has DEFINITELY stated his major FREEWARE items can be modified rereleased and he has encouraged me anyway to take up his NE route.

I have no intention of ever going against another developers wishs, but I simply cannot under stand why so many developers are simply throwing all the hard won effort down the drain.

I wrote the terms and conditions for that route. I have re-read my documentation and will respond to some of your comments in order to clarify some points for others that may read your post.

Downloading that route from steam4me and hosting on another site is not ‘allowed’. The reason for this was in fairness to Yuri. He spent a lot of time and effort to package the route to ensure it was safe, fault free as simple to install as possible. When you download the route from steam4me you can be assured of the content. If you download from a torrent site, you're on your own.

The terms and conditions state, that if the route is unavailable for any reason from steam4me then anybody who has a copy can send it to any individual who requests it. So if steam4me were to go off-air or a meteorite ploughs through my roof then any survivors are still able to provide a copy of the route to others who request it. Once again quality control and safety, and the route is not lost in the event of my demise.

The terms and conditions also state that you can make whatever modifications you like and release them so long as it respects the owners of any trademarks.

In summary, if anyone wishes to modify that route and make their own derived version and release it under their own name then by all means do so. You don't need my permission or blessings. In fact, I would welcome and encourage it.

I hope this is clear enough. If not please do not hesitate to contact me.

Cheers,

Marek.

I personally think the Traralgon/Bairnsdale line would be an interesting line to make.

You can always do this yourself mate Smile

Here is a Steam4me tutorial to help you get started http://msts.steam4me.net/tutorials/index.html#routes
Not really sure where Michael Vone's Route Building guide is? It was made available free of charge on the train sim.com website but I cannot find it now

Anyhow, the tutorials on Steam4me are just as helpful SmileSmile

Thanks man, I had a go at a rough basic one using my knowledge and vicsig to put it together.

I Incorporated into an island, so its just one route and after Pakenham it splits off into a "Regional Flyover"
