The Dems are Paranoid about shifting to the 'Left'. I'm looking forward to the #Resist Sanders Movement

Trump correctly predicted this some months ago - that there was no way the Demmy-crats would allow Sanders to take the nomination even if the majority wanted it. They don't want to lurch that far to the left so they're pulling out all stops to prevent him winning.

In truth Sanders has some really quite radical plans for Church of Climatology worship (three trillion in renewables) as well as uncosted programs to help the poor. He has some noble aims but I just don't see him being electable.

Sad that Buttigieg to go. Good riddance to Klobachar and Bloomberg. If Biden picks Amy Klobachar as a running mate if nominated and not Abrams or Presley or Angela Rye or any of the talented black women that the Democrats have than the Dems are just Republican lite.

We shall see, The Republicans tried the same with EL Donald remember? All his supporters are aware of this and I have mentioned it earlier in this thread, his fighting an uphill battle. LMAO, their calling him anti-Semitic despite him being jewish.

They already where in the Obama years 'Republican lite', and a large chunk of the Anti-Sanders mob. If anyone but Le burn get the nomination I'm just going to congratulate trump on his second term.

Sad to see Buttigieg go? That guy was just a corporate shill, Obama but gay. All identity, no policy.

Yeah, real nice guy, same level as Obama and Trump

@Dangersdan707 I wasn't aware of Buttigieg record. If his record on people of colour the same as Klobachar and Bloomberg then I retract my statement and say screw him!

As for Obama the one thing I will give him credit for and why I think that be is better than the utter chaos that is the Trump presidency is he did introduce the affordable care act.

Granted he could have done more for the Black community. He short have picked a black woman as a running mate like Congresswoman Maxine Walters.

Super Tuesday results are coming in.

Biden has done well in the South and now leads the delegate count at the present time.  Warren is finished after a poor 3rd in her home state.

But Bernie looks like winning California.

As for Bloomberg -

My US-based sister-in-law suggested that Bloomberg would have been better off giving his $400m (spent on advertising) to American Samoa.

I’d like to now officially congratulate Trump not only for his re-election in November, but for his massive victory at that election over Biden.

Bernie, Bernie, Bernie, I warned you mate, felons in prison cannot vote for you, no matter how much you promise them you’ll do for them.

Watching the Democrat candidacy race made me realise something about Trump that I had always misperceived in the past. He doesn’t do what’s populist as such, he just actually understands who can vote in the American electoral system. Could it really be that the Democrats am entire political party that supposedly represents educated America doesn’t actually know who is voting?

Could it be that neither party seriously contests against a first term president any more?

The last time a first term president was defeated was 1992.

Since then:
1996: Republicans ran the bumbling septuagenarian Bob Dole against Clinton in 1996 and lost
2004: Democrats ran John Kerry against Bush 2 in 2004 and lost
2012: Republicans ran a circus during the primaries, ultimately followed by Mitt Romney getting hammered (he couldn't even hold Florida!) by Obama.

Perhaps they should give up on elections completely and just alternate between the two every 8 years?

I think Bush senior was a good president, he was rolled by Clinton mostly on the back of a ‘return to evens’ after Reagan cleaned up Carter and then quite comprehensively wiped the floor with Mondale - did Mondale actually contest that election? The conspiracy theorist in me says maybe he didn’t and it was just a made up exercise.

I think November might resemble Reagan vs Mondale - which most probably means the next president will be a one term republican, and after that it still won’t be Sanders, unless the democrats can reinvent (appropriately) ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’ as an election campaign.

@Aaron  Trump understands who can vote?  Really? Nothing to do with the blatant gerrymandering and voter suppression happening in at least 10 Republican run state legislatures ?

So what? Its the equivalent of a Confederate saying slaves cannot vote for someone promising to abolish slavery, 'No matter what or how much you promise them'. You seem to have quite the obsession over that little minor policy Razz

It's more complicated than that - the USA was in a recession at the time, Bush Senior didn't capitalise on the Iraq War I politically as much as they thought they would. Clinton was the first pop star President - that's what the nineties was all about wasn't it? The transition to stupid and frivolous people ruling over us.
