Copy the CABVIEW and SOUND folder from the HHP folder.
Often these errors are caused by the respective file not being where a .eng, .wag, or .con file needs it to be. You can find this location by opening these files in a text editor.
OK i did it but i a got a message saying fail to create cabview then i click yes then page comes up saying "Microsoft train simulator has stopped working" then says "a problem coursed train simulator has stopped working windows will notify you if a solution is available" then disappears. where do i see the notification why is it doing this?
No idea mate that is the first time I've ever heard of this.
Only thing I can suggest: Hit Windows key + R, type "eventvwr" and hit Enter. When the Event Viewer opens, click on Windows Logs > Application and browse everything that says "Error" until you find Train Simulator. Get the exception code and google it.
