It begs the question though, why would would they fulfil a small signalling contract that has the very real risk of jeopardizing other bigger contracts world-wide due to boycotts etc?
They have signed a contract, to not abide by that for ideological reasons is putting Siemen's name and brand at greater risk. If Siemen's dropped this $30m contract on signally then next time QR/PN need one their Billion dollar EL fleet overhauled or similar OS, Siemen's might see the back of a middle finger or face costly punative clauses in their contracts due to increased contractual risk.
Also note Siemen's may also be involved with the power stations in India that are going to burn this coal and pi$$ing off Adandi may not work well for them there.
Fortunately for Siemen's, most of their business are not shop front consumer items, rather big scale industrial stuff where decisions are made with more common sense and on commercial grounds than emotional.
