Speaking of Communist Party operatives, has anyone else heard that there's quite a few in Dan Andrews cabinet and indeed someone connected to the "United Work Front" in Dan's own staff? If true then the Dan Andrews has some really significant questions to answer, doesn't he.

Neil Mitchell's radio show in Melbourne was rife with rumors the morning that Daniel Andrews is going to announce his resignation before the next election - possibly before the end of the year to give his replacement a good lead up to the 2022 poll.

He won't be resigning until this latest COVID crisis has settled down. that would just be pure stupidity!

Wishful thinking on Mitchell's part brought about because Andrews won't talk on his program.Smile

Who wants Jacinta Allan as Premier? Certainly not me - 'better the devil that you know blah blah ....'.

IN fairness he has broken some pretty big stories on his show over the years - he announced that Ford Australia was shutting up shop before any politician knew about it.

Wasn't sure where else to put this really strange story - from The Australian:

Four of the five young critics hired by The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age in May to write about the arts have either quit their jobs or reduced their own hours to protest the fact that they are all white.

Two of the five white writers – Bec Kavanagh and Jack Callil – quit their jobs on Monday, with each saying “our resignation is in opposition to the lack of diversity in the selection, which resulted in an all-white group of peers.”

A third critic, Tiarney Miekus, hired to write about visual arts in Victoria, has described the whiteness of the group as “completely appalling and shameful.”

She has not quit, but will give up some of her salary to enable Nine to hire more BIPOC – black, indigenous, people of colour – writers.

Sounds like a good idea, give up your job so that someone more diverse than you can occupy it. Perhaps we can start with Paul Barry at the ABC?

It is appalling and shameful that a media organisation should select the best person for the job.  Now their readership will have to put up with third or fourth rate writers just to keep up with the wokeness of the selected (s)nobs.

Yep, all about them 'reds under the bed' and their 'fellow travellers'. Nothing has really changed since the the 50s, as paranoid and xenophobic as ever. China going Communist in the first place ignited the second red scare in the US, seemingly only fitting that it surpassing the US start the 3rd one.

There's a million Muslims in concentration camps in the west of the country and now news about forced sterilizations of those people. Sound like a quiet genocide to me... why the UN and the Arabic nations of the world say and do nothing is beyond me. Goes to show how frightened they are of the CCP power and money I guess.

And people like you really think they're nothing to worry about?

I thought at first it might have been for a role too - but no, that's really what he looks like now. Apparently he got really depressed after he broke up with Terri Irwin and became a recluse... poor Rusty.

He does look somewhat like he has a corset on in the "Gladiator" picture - but he was definitely very fit when filming that too.

Anyway back to politics - did anyone see the rumor on News.com.au that Mathias Corrman is set to quit after the Eden-Monaro by-election tomorrow? I'm not sure how serious it is but they claim he can't stand working with ScoMo and has called him a 'control' freak' in cabinet meetings.

Even if that's true, I think you need to be a control freak if you're Prime Minister - perhaps not in the style of Rudd but Howard definitely ran a very tight ship and could be classified as a 'control freak' given he never allowed ministers to speak to the media without consulting his office first.
