Michigan and Wisconsin has been given to Biden. If Nevada falls its game over and there are massive Atlanta precincts to be counted in Georgia which overwhelmingly favours Biden. It is not looking good for Trump.

Trump has to win all outstanding states (or flip a decided one) to win now.

Biden is ahead in Nevada - only by 8000 (0.8% IIRC) - after all votes counted.  So outstanding postals+ recount errors have to favour Trump.

Biden could easily still win Georgia, possibly even NC, probably PE (courts not withstanding).

It's all but impossible for Trump to win now.

It's actually been a very comprehensive victory for Biden (probably), despite it looking close on the Electoral college.  Texas was close(ish).  Florida was the only surprise, everywhere else Biden went close to winning.

I don't think that Trump will win.  It looks rather uphill from here now.

Some very interesting State referendum results.  California in particular:

It will take a Hail-Mary of epic, epic proportions for Trump to win from here. Good that tw@t deserves nothing.

Did predict a Trump victory, but am satisfied the American people have sent him a message, you’re fired.

Next gig for him, a one man reality TV programme, the biggest loser.

For Trump to win from here it would require another burst water main in the counting room in downtown Atlanta, the courts stop the count in PE with Trump still ahead, then *allow* 10,000 un-dated, unpostmarked late mail-in ballots from the Reno Trump tower.

President Biden could be really bad for us. It'll be back to appeasement with China and they'll continue their economic colonization program unhindered - so expect more 'punishments' for Australia like the ones they've been inflicting recently.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see them step up their control of Hong Kong and make a military bid for Taiwan. I really don't think the Democrats have any desire to take them on in any way, just as they did under Obama.

The Taiwanese are understandably nervous.

Although it has to said that China has walked all over Hong Kong already, and Trump didn't lift a finger accept to belt out some Tweets and trade threats.

Biden may well win this, but it is no sweep that was promised by the  polls and media.  To me, the Democrats should be very disappointed in the result considering the opposition.

Firstly, it was always going to be close. I had no doubt that Trump would poll well, because the US is divided. The racist a$$hat Trump played to racist white people fears. That git is not achieved a single thing he did not inherit from the previous administration.

Yeah well what the Democrats can do is organize and have the right people leading. For example get rid of the bony ar$ed old crone Pelosi and put in the Stacey in as leader of the house. Stacey Abrams has turned through her organization and hard work, a red state to a state that may flip to the Democrats. They can start by placing capable black and latino women in positions of power.

Do you mean during the period of time in which the whole of the USA has been distracted with the election? Because that's when these punishments have been occurring, yes.

The Chinese are opportunists and they'll be waiting to see who gets elected and what they'll do in response. They're punishing a proxy through us.

Hong Kong is a lost cause, it was always - ALWAYS - going to end this way since Thatcher basically gave the Chinese everything they were demanding in 1984. Everything else; the promises of 'one country - two systems', the promise of maintaining economic and social democracy, were just a smoke-screen until they could move in and impose their own courts, laws and systems in there without spooking the financial markets. China is a huge economic and financial power in their own right now - they don't really need Hong Kong any more, hence the steamrolling of human rights and democratic systems there recently.

Taiwan is really the line in the sand - Taiwan has never really historically been part of China (despite what the CCP says) and if China tries to take Taiwan by force then I'd expect the West to react to protect it. Although maybe not with President Biden - who knows.

Very disappointed that some Trump supporters seemed to have thrown in the towel at this early stage. Presid not Trump has not conceded, Mr. Biden hasn't claimed victory, so it's still game on!

Trump is hardly a bench mark.

Most common sense Republicans have acknowledged that the likelihood of victory is unlikely.
  Carnot Minister for Railways

A Trump victory is unlikely but not impossible.

China want Taiwan, but it would likely plunge the world into an even deeper economic depression with the Tech industry decimated along with huge flow-on effects.

Germany is finally beginning to stand up to them as well.

Back to the US - it looks like some Senate runoff elections might happen in January. ie. Georgia.

Billy, President Trump has not conceded but he knows he is in deep trouble and hence all these bogus lawsuits.

In Georgia, Trumps lead is just 9000, Pennsylvania his lead is now less than 90,000 with majority of counties to count favouring the Democrats by as much as 60%. There are 500,000 votes to be counted. Arizona is the only state heading Trump's way and Nevada the gap has widened in favour of Biden. Yes anything can happen, but it would have to be a minor miracle for Trump to win.

Give it up Billy.

Michael
  Carnot Minister for Railways

Highly likely Georgia has gone to Biden.  That's pretty much it (pending court cases, lawsuits, ballots being rewritten by hand, polling centres ambushed by gun-toting 'patriots' etc etc).

And in other news:
- Putin is expected to step down in January due to Parkinson's disease.
- Pelosi tells the Dems to not go too much towards the loony left.
- And Steve Bannon makes terror threats against Dr.Fauci and gets (rightfully) booted off Twitter. He might cop a bit more than a Twitter ban I suspect.

It's been a big day...

Taiwan is a shathole and I wouldn’t go to war over it. As far as I am concerned the Chinese Communists can have it. Full of the ex mainland nationalist criminals that Mao rightfully kicked out.
Not that I agree with the way the mainland is run now.
But what can we do about it especially if we want to sell our stuff to them?
  Carnot Minister for Railways

Taiwan being taken over by China would mean they would have control of the world's biggest wafer fab factories (microprocessors), see several 100000 people killed, and a democratic nation in ruins.  The repercussions would be enormous and the outcomes horrendous.

Japan and Korea wouldn't sit idly by either.

Incidentally, keep an eye on Bolivia.  Some crazy stuff is going down there at present. Even Elon Musk and his supply of Lithium for his batteries is caught up in it...
