I've had trouble with movies, dare I say. Taken with a Fuji S602z digital camera, and direclt copied. So if it doesn't work, I'll stop any other try with movies. As it is I'll be removing it in a week or so.

Oh for broadband availability here.  Sigh!  I don't have the patience needed to upload the movie file.  Sad

But since Y121 is apparently involved, I thought it might be worth a mention that on Sun Jan 25th after seeing the Corio model railway exhibition I wandered down to the Cunningham Pier line remains in Brougham St (see archaeology forum), then up to Mercer St to take some pics of the vintage Eagle traffic signals when I couldn't help noticing a smallish V/Line Y class pull up beside me.

Pity it was the only train I saw moving in Geelong outside of the model railway exhibition  Very Happy

Good catch !

Yes it was on it's way from the Cobden RR back to DVR.

( reminds me of that thread in the general/test forum about
"you know your a railfan when...." -  in this case take a photos of a miniature train in traffic !!)

They stopped at the model Railway  show on the Saturday and heads to CObden that night. Y121 is now back at DVR.

( that reminds me better get ready and head up there..... )

Guilty as charged. Smile   Not the first time I'd seen a miniature loco in traffic, but it was the first time I'd taken a photo of one, probably only because I had a camera and was already standing there taking photos. I got in my car shortly after to head back to Gippsland and noticed the Y had been put away on a siding (parked on the side of the road) in the next block.

Haven't been to DVR in quite a while myself. And still yet to get to Cobden.
Been to the Wagga line twice though. Neither time on a running day  Sad

So it wasn't you who mouthed "Nice Y" at a set of light from a car ? as the owner noted such around the same area. As it was he enjoyed the B&W  print out I took to DVR today.

No, it wasn't me. I didn't say a word. My wife was sitting in our car waiting for me to finish what I was doing, and she noticed the Y too. We just grinned at each other. It being a relatively unusual and unexpected sight.   Very Happy

So we have two sets of admirers, I conclude. normally  the Y has a dust cover and a tarp to protect it - you get alot of road dust, grime etc. on a trip.

Will both Y121 and Thunderchild will both be at Wagga this year again?

Maybe, it's still a long way away.  Wagga do a good job, and I'll be going.
I cannot speak for the other two but it is  sort of an annual event for us.
More likely tell yuo for sure in September.

also is it possible to bring x44 as well as y121 and the KATD's ???

They had a site, the link is dead on DVR's website. If they have one I haven't found it yet.....

I might make contact with someone from Wagga and see if they want a page done up and put on a free site (unless you know of a better location david!!)

Well it may be obvious but the Wagga people could contact Railpage if they are serious. Then you can see who maintains it from there on....

Just a note.  Tunderchild will be attending this year.

Ran tender first backwards around Box Hill on the 28th for our friends and family night run, though it developed some injector problems and had to be taken off.
