Damn. I thought this was going to be a thread about a proposed upgrade to the Goodwood Station access route . . . . . .
Speaking of finishing the "upgrade" to Goodwood Station, I agree 100% that some sort of effective wind / rain / afternoon sun shelter is needed on the platforms.
Also, some clear, permanent signage of which trains use which platforms at Goodwood. At present there are only a couple of those curved bus stop type signs with the timetable, which do tell you where the trains go, but in a very inconspicuous half-hearted way. The signs are small and positioned at 90 degrees to your line of sight when you walk onto the platforms. Especially important because:-
(1) The electronic PIDs on platforms 1 and 2 have not been working since the Noarlunga line reopened. How do you know where your skip-stop train will be stopping before you get on board?
(2) The destinations of trains from all three platforms have swapped around since the new underpass has been built.
I have seen any number of non-regular passengers wandering, very frustrated, trying to work out where their train leaves from.
All that's needed are conspicuous "TO NOARLUNGA & TONSLEY", "TO ADELAIDE" signs at top of the ramps. Maybe in the subway too, but these would be heavily graffitied within 24 hours.
