A TRUCK driver has died in a horror crash between two road trains on the Great Northern Highway, 94kms north of Meekatharra.
The road trains were travelling in opposite directions when they collided about 6pm on Sunday.
The driver of the southbound road train died at the scene, while the driver of the northbound vehicle, aged in his 40s, received minor injuries.
The trailers on both vehicles were empty at the time of the crash.
The highway has been closed in both directions as emergency services deal with the incident.
