The €799m contract was awarded to a consortium of Vinci Construction Grands Projets, Spie Batignolles Génie Civil, Dodin Campenon Bernard, Vinci Construction France, Spie Batignolles Fondations and Bottes Fondations.
The contract covers the construction of 11.8km of tunnel using two tunnel boring machines, the construction of Antony, Massy Opéra and Massy-Palaiseau stations, as well as the crossing of the future Orly Airport station, which is already under construction for Line 14, and 13 service structures at the eastern end of the line.
Alignment of Line 18.
Line 18 will be 35km long including 14km elevated and will run from Orly Airport via the Saclay plateau to Versailles Chantiers. The line will connect with Line 14 at Orly Airport, RER lines B and C and TGV services at Massy Palaiseau, and RER Line C and mainline trains at Versailles Chantiers.
Line 18 will open in three stages, with the Massy-Palaiseau – CEA Saint-Aubin section opening in 2026, the Massy-Palaiseau – Orly Airport section following in 2027, and the final section between CEA Saint-Aubin and Versailles Chantiers coming into service in 2030. Line 18 will be fully automated.
