Last week we discovered Transurban, the mega tolling company responsible for the West Gate Toll Road, is extracting $2 million a day from commuters on CityLink alone. And they pay no company tax.
We know that the toll road will be gridlocked 10 years after it is built and will devastate families in Brooklyn and Altona North who already have some of the most polluted air in the state.
Our campaign for clean air and a sustainable transport network has never been more important.
We are busily doorknocking, running stalls, going to community events and talking to everyone and anyone about the dangers of the Andrews Labor Government's West Gate Tunnel Project and Transurban.
Put a placard on your fence and tell Transurban they are not welcome in your neighbourhood.
We can build a transport system for all Victorians – a system that is equitable, affordable, frequent and reliable, by design.
We need door-to-door public transport that enhances livability and strategically caters to our growing city.
