RAILWAY Interchange, North America’s largest railway exhibition, has postponed its next conference and trade show scheduled for September 26-29 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Railway Interchange said in a statement that due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the global scale of the event, it was ultimately unable to guarantee a safe and successful event that would meet the goals and expectations of exhibitors, attendees, and other industry partners.
“Our top priority remains the health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, and staff,” Railway Interchange said. “Exhibitors and sponsors will receive additional information shortly regarding next steps.
“We thank you for your patience and support as we navigate this difficult situation and look forward to seeing everyone in person again in the future. In the meantime, please save the date for Railway Interchange 2023 from September 30 – October 3 in Indianapolis.”
The biennial event is organised jointly by North American rail industry associations, the Railway Supply Institute (RSI), Railway Engineering Maintenance Suppliers Association (Remsa), Railway Systems Suppliers (RSSI), and American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association (Arema). It attracts around 9000 people and was last held in Minneapolis in September 2019.
