Embedded technology supplier Eurotech has extended its portfolio of railway-certified modular Internet of Things edge gateways with the BoltGATE 20-31 family, which comprises a main CPU module and a wide range of expansion modules offering additional features and interfaces for edge processing and cloud connectivity.
Applications include passenger infotainment, train-to-ground communications and fleet management.
The main CPU module is based on the Intel Atom E3900 processor and will be available in wi-fi/BLE and cellular LTE Cat4 global variants based on two- or four-core CPUs, or a MVB + Cellular LTE Cat4 variant based on a four-core CPU.
Both configurations include a GNSS receiver supporting GPS/GLONASS with untethered dead reckoning mode. A railway-certified power supply is integrated in the Main CPU Module.
