3985 leaving Compress siding and entering the main at Grand Ave. It will travel down the Chester Sub in Illinois and end the day in Dexter, Mo. @ St Louis, Mo. (040004)*
3985 was on it's way to Houston for the Super Bowl when between KC & StL it developed a firebox problem. One of the syphon tubes was leaking and needed to be replaced. 3985 was held in StL while Steve Lee had a new one made in the shops in Cheyenne. This was replaced with the locomotive outdoors in spite of the frigid temps in StL and the train finally left on the 22nd.
