From the 60 x 2300 class built, 18 were built from the 2400 class which numbered 24 from 2400 to 2423 built in 1977 and 1978. The other 6 were withdrawn including 1 which was exported to South Africa.
2353 seen here on 29-10-2014 which at the time was in storage at Rockhampton was rebuilt from 2423 between 1997 and 2002.
